1. Personal Information Collection

iobar does not collect personal information. It does not collect, store, or process names, email addresses, phone numbers, location, or any other information that identifies you.

2. Data Storage and Permissions

Your settings and menu bar layout are stored only in the app's preferences on your Mac. iobar needs the Accessibility permission to read and arrange menu bar items. The optional Screen Recording permission lets it take pictures of menu bar items for the hidden-items bar; these pictures are kept only in the app's cache folder on your Mac and are never sent anywhere.

3. Update Checks

iobar checks for updates with the open-source Sparkle framework by downloading an update feed from www.cr8rcho.com. As with any web request, the website's host can see your IP address and the app version. No other information is sent, and no system profile is collected. You can decline automatic update checks and check manually from Settings.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

iobar does not use analytics tools, advertising, cookies, or any other tracking technology.

5. Children's Privacy Protection

iobar does not collect personal information from users of any age, including children under 13, so no special measures for children's privacy are required.

6. Policy Changes

If a future feature ever needs personal information, we will tell users clearly in advance and ask for their consent. There are currently no plans to collect personal information.
